Kazakhstan new 1,000-tenge commemorative reported

According to an article on Radio Free Europe dated 11 November 2010, the National Bank of Kazakhstan has issued a new 1,000-tenge (US$6.80) banknote to mark the 2011 Asian Winter Games that will be hosted by Kazakhstan. Bank Deputy Chairman Bisenghali Tadzhiyaqov told journalists that the banknote bears the emblem of the 7th Asian Winter Games that are scheduled to be held in Astana and Almaty from 30 January to 6 February.
